Welcome to SYWB!

After years of contemplating starting a blog of my own, I finally decided it was time. I have never been more inspired to create since I began reading blogs about three years ago. There are some amazing amazing people out there! The most wonderful thing is that I am most inspired from the everyday woman rather than the "professionals." No disrespect to the pros, but at this time in my life I am looking for inspiration that doesn't cost a lot. Nothing is more rewarding than creating something amazing out of some items you already have in your fridge, basement or dusty old shelf. I have learned so many new things. I have tried new foods, attempted new projects and crafts and taken a renewed interest in making all things around be "beautiful." I use this word in quotations because I think everyone has their own sense of beauty and what is pleasing to their eyes. This is not a superficial beauty. Not a beauty that needs to be loved or seen by everyone. It is a beauty that makes you happy, gives you a sense of comfort, and allows you to express your creative self. I hope that I can use this blog to document my trials and errors in cooking, decorating, crafting, DIY-ing, parenting, and fashion. I hope to write everyday, but you moms know sometimes life happens and above all else, my family is my numero uno priority. Stay tuned for lots of projects and tutorials!
